In the summer of 2022 the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour welcomed the inaugural 'WOW!house' showcase; an immersive experience for lovers of interior design and those within the creative industry.
Unsurprisingly following a huge success, WOW!house is back for its second year. Curated by a team of carefully selected Interior Designers who have collaborated with their most trusted suppliers and makers to create eighteen beautifully decorated spaces. We invite you to take a look at some of our top discoveries from this years 2023 Showcase.
Entrance to WOW!house 2023: A Tented Ceiling and Fabric Draped Walls create a Luxury Boudoir
Prevalent throughout WOW!house 2023, it seems gold is making a comeback and emerging as a key design direction. Beginning in the Entrance Foyer, a golden palette, which boasts dramatic tenting, scenic wall covering and an array of furnishings and fabrics by Iksel Decorative Arts.
The gold thread most animated in Barlow & Barlow's playful Drummonds principal bathroom. A futuristic, galaxy of mirrors, marbles and brassware. A world away from the elegant Entrance Foyer, but equally as dramatic and inviting.

As you move around the WOW!house 2023 every sense is consciously stimulated, be it from the specially commissioned sound and scent scapes to the tactile walls, floors and ceilings of the rooms. The journey is an extraordinary experience of storytelling and design inspiration.
Bringing to life the importance of an Interior Designer, to remind us that we must invigorate all senses through our design. That we must encounter all emotions, needs and wants of our clients.
Tactile walls, floors and ceilings create a sensory overload
Every inch of the WOW!house was adorned; we noticed a huge focus on the ceilings. Various rooms were tented with beautiful fabrics, the Kitchen ceiling adorned with Gold metal leaf from one of our supplier favourites Altfield, DeGournays grid pattern extended from the walls into the coffered ceiling detail. Don’t forget to look up when you visit!

It goes without saying that we have left the WOW!house feeling energised and inspired. Whilst it is a rare opportunity to meet a client with such maximalist intentions and a brave approach to their design, much like the rooms at the showcase. WOW!house is a unique opportunity to experience such a plethora of designers, suppliers, artists and craftsman in one space; to see and feel the quality of the work that surrounds us and take inspiration from every corner. The event runs for one more week so be sure to head down if you find the time.
